Yesterday I was all set and ready to do a show with my Acrylic Pour Paintings.  There was to be a holiday craft fair locally and I was registering for it when they announced it was cancelled.
UGH.  So now to find another show. 

This is one of my favorites as of now. 

Well Fall has arrived.  I have been painting like crazy.  Trying to prepare for a show or too.  It has been hard for me to crochet or any crafts that use my hands since I have arthritis.  But painting has giving me a new form of Stress relief.

Well in the last 6 months I have taken up a new Hobby,  Acrylic Pour Painting.  The first one went to my Sister. I have around 60 paintings.

HUMP DAY.  It has been a strange week.  But at least its moving on.  I think it has been a bit stressful and we are working to get passed that.  Strange how life moves on - Your parents raise you, you leave home and then you return to raise them and take care of them.  I struggle with my parents issues.  My sister is in our home town and takes care of them now.  I think as things progress I will take a bigger position in their care giving.  

When I was younger I know that I was looked as "Sweet" and "Naive".  Well ok I was Naive - sweet not so much.  I think I stayed that way for a very long time.  At some point I learned that I had to stand up for myself that no one would do that for me.  But as I have gotten even old I have found that I need to find a delicate balance with being Nice and Strong.  I have been pretty lucky.

I am amazed these days the lack of respect any one gives to any one else.  I don't know if it is a southern thing or a proper thing.  But when we grew up we were taught to say Yes Ma'am, Yes Sir, Thank you and Your welcome.  I work with you people who don't know the first thing about that.  I see it every where.  Crazy.  Just a complete lack of disrespect.  I don't care if you like me or not - don't disrespect any one.

On top of all the many day to day things we do each day.  There are many unexpected things that have popped up lately.  Rory's father passed away.  It was, in my opinion unexpected.  I was very shocked.  I know Rory was very taken back by the whole thing.  We tried desperately to make it to his hometown before he passed.  We didn't get there in time.  I know the was very hard for him.  Now we are having issues with My father.  I love that man but don't know what to make of this whole Parkinson's disease and how he is acting.  It has been such a nightmare for my mom and sister.  I wish I was there to help.

TGIF!!!!!! So glad it is Friday.  I am exhausted.  I need a break.  I have so many personal things I want to get done and I feel like I will never get it done.  Last weekend I just didn't get ANY thing done.  We had a great time and ate like we were nuts but nothing got done.  SO, this weekend I am catching up.  I need to work on my Crochet bag and I need to finish the Purple and Black Ply-Slit bag.  At least I have plenty to keep me busy.  So Off to get things done.  Have a great weekend.

So Happy Wednesday June 1st.  I made it this far in the year.  I have been working on my Zen Tangle skills which are not good.  I like drawing but doodle is a skill I guess I never had.  But I do enjoy learning so off to learn something new.   I have been trying to finish my Mochila Bag.  It is SO big as I said before.  I am pretty far along with it.  I will try to update the Picture.  For now Enjoy the day Folks.

So WOW it has been a year since my last post. Life gets away from you.  I can't believe that. I am sorry for not keeping up. I have been so busy it's crazy.  I am still working on my bag but off and on I have been working on Ply-Split Braiding.  I taught myself how to do this technique and started practicing on small pieces.  All so that I could make a wide piece for the Strap on the new bag that I have been making.  Here is an example of the Ply-Split.

I Really like the challenge of different designs.  There are so many links on Pinterest and the web to choose from for learning.

We also got a new puppy named Koda.

So it is Spring 2015, WOW where did winter go and how did we get to the end of April.  I slept through it all.  I managed to do somethings I love but not many.  I had my cataract surgeries and then had surgery on my right thumb  and that put me way out of crafting.  I managed to slowly start a Tapestry crochet bag with a design I sorta made up.  It started out to be Square at the bottom and now I look at the Bag and it will be HUGE.  I love the colors but I mean HUGE.

 Great Size now but just wait.   I started trying a new technique called Ply slit weaving.  very cool.  I made one item.  I wanted to learn this because that is what they make the handle for the Mochila bags out of and that is what this bag was suppose to be sorta like when completed.  We shall see.

I am so glad it is Friday.  This has been a busy week at work and at home as well.  Crime never stops at the Sheriff's Office but last weekend was BAD.  So that leads to alot of paperwork for me.  I guess I shouldn't complain because it went fast but really it could have had less issues.  I did manage to finish some bead projects. I have been working with Doughnut beads to create necklaces.  Love it.  I will post pictures so you can see. I spent my time searching to ideas on Pinterest when I have a block.

My parent's are having issues.  Mom has been sick because Dad is sick. Both were again in the hospital last week.  UGH.  I get stressed because I can't do anything and then My Lupus acts up.  Vicious Cycle.  We all need to take better care of ourselves.

Not much to report

As time goes by thing change but not all things.  I continue to work on beaded things and continue to crochet which I always go back to. I love to combine the two and make bead crochet pieces.  I have recently been working on flat bead crochet pieces. In other words not tubular.  I will post pictures.  I don't have any with me at the moment. Since moving to Florida, I have not been teaching bead work but of course that does not keep me from making things.  I started making Bracelets and Badge holders with Paracord for work.  So far it is fun.

I have tried several different weaves.  I enjoy it.

Here it is Feb 13, 2013.  Today is Ash Wednesday.  I don't celebrate or Give up something for Lent but I use to.  I would because my friend Lisa did so I would do it with her.  Her thing was to Always give up Sex and chocolate.  HM.  Last week I had surgery on my Left hand.  I had De Quervain syndrome they had to repair it. Plus there was a Cyst on that same side.  Anyway.  My craft moments are down to nothing due to this.  I hope to get back to doing some crochet items.

Monday's

Here we are at Monday again. The weekends go too fast. I didn't teach this weekend and miss it. Things have been so busy. I am working on new pieces but mostly jewelry. I was trying to make a HAT for a Tester group on Ravelry but can't seem to get answers from the designer about the pattern. UGH

Spring Maybe

I hope everyone had a great Vaneltine's Day!! I don't necessarily care for V Day. It's just another day for people to spen unnecessary money on gifts. I want to be speciall all year not just one day a year. Cards are nice but that's it. I like Birthdays myself. I am lucky to have them so I like to celebrate them.

I have added a picture of my son here from a couple of years ago. We were at my friends house in Florida and went to see her Brothers plane. COOL .
